I read this morning that the Minnesota Twins have signed Jim Thome for the 2011 season. That means that Thome will hit his 600th home run in a Twins uniform. Congratulations to the Twins for having the sense to re-sign this gentleman ballplayer. Why Cleveland didn't put out some bucks to sign a great player they developed is mind boggling. Hope Thome hits home run #600 in Cleveland's Progressive Field.

Well, I agree with most of what you say, Tony. Mr. Thome is a gentleman and it is a treat to have him here with our Minnesota Twins. He was a big hit last year and I was there to see his biggest homer of the season -- a towering walk-off shot in extra-innings against the White Sox that sent the crowd into a frenzy. I personally hope I'm at our ball park (Target Field) to see him get number 600. Chas
