Civil War Or Evil?
On April 4th President Bush told soldiers and family members at Fort Irwin, Calif. “ What's happening in Iraq is not a civil war. It is pure evil and I believe we have an obligation to protect ourselves from that evil." The Reverend Bush may be right for all the wrong reasons. War is evil ! It is not civil!

My mother, born and raised in South Carolina, used to say the same thing about "our Civil War". She refused to call it that saying "there is nothing civil about war!" It was always known as "The War Between the States" in our house. I wonder what my mother would call what is happening in Iraq...nevermind, I think I know and she wouldn't want me to print it!
